Term 2 Week 5 IS Lesson

In this lesson, we did not learn anything new. Instead as the IS test was next week, we did a round of revision on web new media as well as, HTML. Mr Cheong, our IS teacher, also told us to go to his blog to do a last round of revision on our own. I hope that I can achieve a A1 for my IS again.

Term 2 Week 4 IS Lesson

During this lesson, we learn how to style the HTML web page. We use Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) to do this. Our assignment for that lesson was to create a webpage which had a background colour and at same time, had different fort colour. I referred to the colour code and tried my hands on creating a web-page. At the beginning, it was a bit difficult. After I got used to it, I finished the assignment at a much faster pace. To sum things up, I learned how to modify the default settings of the HTML in this lesson.

Term 2 Week 3 IS Lesson

In the third IS lesson, my class started learning about how to to build web pages using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). We started out a few simple tools like how to start a title, head etc. Slowly by slowly, we started to get used to HTML and we moved on to learn how to change the fort size, add in comments and change the background colour. I really learned a lot from the lesson and I hoped that I could one day learned the skills of using HTML.

Addition to my first IS lesson

We also learned about the history of World Wide Web in our first lesson. The World Wide Web first started in 1969 with only 4 host nodes. Now. the World Wide Web has over 200 million host nodes. In addition, we also learned about the URL, uniform resource locator.

My First IS lesson

Today I had my first IS lesson of term 2. My new IS teacher is called Mr Kent. He told us that we will be learning about Web and New Media in term 2. After hearing this, I am very excited because I have always been interested in website-making and designing. About New Media, I also do not know a lot about it. Hope that I can pick up this skill.
